License Agreement

This article presents the features available in the Ultimate plan of XTRF Translation Management System. Please keep in mind that your access to the described options might be limited due to your license agreement. If you would like to change your plan of XTRF Translation Management System and gain access to the additional features, contact your XTRF Customer Success Manager.

Add Language display

 

If you cannot find a required language in the Home Portal's language database, you can add it to the system manually.

   
Name fieldYou can provide the name of the language in this field. This name will be displayed each time you want to select a language in the Home Portal.

 

Legend

Follow the legend below to find out how to configure settings appropriately in the Home Portal:

  • Required setting: This setting has to be filled to create the entity.

  • Required and unique setting: This setting has to be filled to create the entity, moreover, the content of this setting has to be one of a kind.

  • Auto-selected setting: If none of the options is selected, the system automatically selects the default or first in the list option.

  • Optional setting: This setting is not required to create an entity.

Symbol fieldYou can provide the symbol which represents the language. This symbol will be displayed each time the language symbol will be used in the Home Portal.
ISO 639-1 Code (two letters) field

You can provide the code for representation of the name of the language, for example es for Spanish. This code is required for Memsource, SDL Trados Studio and XTM integrations.

The code names are used in case of integration XTRF Platform with the following external systems:

ISO 639-2 Code (three letters) field

You can provide the code for representation of the name of the language, for example spa for Spanish. This code is required for memoQ integration.

The ISO 639-2 code names are used while integrating XTRF Platform with the memoQ external system:  https://www.memoq.com/.

SDL MultiTerm Alias field

You can provide the code for representation of the name of the language, for example ES-ES for Spanish. The code is required for SDL Trados Studio and SDL GroupShare integrations for SDL MultiTerm Term Bases.

The code names are used in case of using SDL MultiTerm Term Bases in the following external systems:

Active checkbox

Select the checkbox if you want a language to be available in the Home Portal.

Language Inactive

If a defined language is not currently used in the Home Portal, you can make it inactive instead of removing it. To do so, deselect the Active checkbox in the Add Language display.

Preferred Item checkbox Select the checkbox, if you want to display the language on the top of the list of the preferred languages whenever you select a language in the Home Portal.
Default checkboxSelect this option if you want this language to be used as a default at new activity creation.
Save buttonClick to apply any modifications.
Cancel buttonClick to discard any changes and leave the editing mode.
