One of the most principal system values in the localization business is a language value. You can find the list of default languages defined in the Home Portal, but yet you can add a new language to your XTRF Platform. This article shows you how to add a new language to XTRF Platform.
Add a New Language
To add a new language in XTRF Platform, perform the following steps: Predefined Values Please bear in mind that you need to predefine the system values to use them in XTRF Platform. In the ISO 639-1 Code (two letters) field provide the two letters code name for this language according to ISO 639-1 international standard. ISO 639-1 Code You can find more information on the ISO 639-1 Code in the Wikipedia articles: The code names are used in case of integration XTRF Platform with the following external systems: In the ISO 639-2 Code (three letters) field provide the three letters code name for this language according to ISO 639-2 international standard. You can find more information on the ISO 639-1 Code in the Wikipedia articles: The ISO 639-2 code names are used while integrating XTRF Platform with the memoQ external system: https://www.memoq.com/. Click the Save button. You have added the new language value in the Home Portal. Sign in to the Home Portal of XTRF Platform. Click the icon. In the accordion menu click the System Values: Advanced and then select the Languages. Click the +Add button. In the Name field provide a unique name for the new language. In the Symbol field provide a unique symbol of the new language. (Optional) Select the Active checkbox if this language should be available for use in the Home Portal. (Optional) Select the Preferred Item checkbox if this language should be located on the top of all drop-down menus and selection lists in your Home Portal. (Optional) Select the Default checkbox if this language should be used as a default language in your Home Portal. Mind that only one language can be set as a default one.
