In the Project Template Create page, you create a template which has data that can be frequently used for future projects. First you select a previously created project to serve as the template's foundation and then decide which information you want included in the template. Now whenever you select this template on the Project Create page, the desired information from the template's source project is automatically propagated to the new project, eliminating the need to manually reenter the same information for each related project you create.

Send Availability Requests

Whenever you use this template for a new project, you can have the system automatically send availability requests to vendors for specific jobs in the selected project. For example, you decided in the source project to send availability requests to Vendor 1 and Vendor 2 for the translation job and to Vendor 3 and Vendor 4 for the proofreading job. Now whenever you select this template for a new project, the system suggests having the availability requests sent automatically to Vendor 1 and Vendor 2 for the translation job and to Vendor 3 and Vendor 4 for the proofreading job.

    • Select the tickbox to have the system suggest the automatic sending of availability requests for a given job in the project template. Now whenever you create a new project from the template, the Send availability requests tickbox on Step 2: Set Values for Jobs and Payables is automatically selected.
    • Deselect the tickbox to not have the system suggest the automatic sending of availability requests for a given job in the project template. Now whenever you create a new project from the template, the Send availability requests tickbox on Step 2: Set Values for Jobs and Payables is automatically deselected.

  • Whichever option you choose here simply results in an automatic suggestion by the system and not a definite action . You can still decide to send availability requests or not on Step 2: Set Values for Jobs and Payables for a given project.
  • To select which vendors will be sent the availability requests, locate the project that is the basis for the template and go to the desired job's Requests tab.
