Create Provider

You can create a provider by manually entering the provider's information into the XTRF system.
Name

The name of the provider to be used in the system. The name can be short but must be unique (e.g. "John Smith UK" for "Jonathan J. Smith").

Enter the text into the field.

This field is mandatory.

Full Name

The provider's legal name which will appear on the provider's invoices (e.g. "Jonathan J. Smith" and not "John Smith UK").

Enter the text into the field.

When you enter a name first into the Name field, XTRF automatically copies it into the Full Name field.

This field is mandatory.

E-mail

The email address of the provider.

Enter the text into the field.

  • This field is mandatory.
  • Enter a valid email address.
Country

The provider's country of residence.

Click the drop-down list and select a country.

To enter a country into the system, go to System > Configuration > System Values > Countries .

Branch

The department, affiliate, subsidiary or regional office of your company for which the provider perform services. A branch's ideal purpose is to serve as an organisational tool because you associate users and partners to it. Whenever you want to quickly locate such information as a specific quote, project or report, simply select the related branch.

Click the drop-down list and select a branch.

  • To create a branch, go to System > Configuration > System Values > Branches.
Individual

The nature of the provider.

    • Select the tickbox if the provider is an individual person. When the tickbox is selected, additional fields appear at the bottom of the page.

      First Name

      The provider's forename.

      Enter the text into the field.

      This field is mandatory.

      Last Name

      The provider's surname.

      Enter the text into the field.

      Gender

      The gender of the contact person.

      Click on the drop-down list and select an item.

      Position

      The position of the individual in the translation company.

      Begin typing the name of the position and then select from the drop-down list. If you enter a position which currently does not exist in the system, the position will be automatically stored in Configuration after you create the provider. The position will also be available for selection whenever you create a new partner.

       

      To modify positions, go to    System   >   Configuration     System Values   >   Positions .

    • Deselect the tickbox if the provider is a company. When the tickbox is deselected, the additional fields disappear.

 

After you select the Individual tickbox and click Continue , the system automatically creates a contact person with identical data. For example, if you entered the freelance provider John Smith, the contact person John Smith automatically appears on the Contact Persons tab.

ContinueClick to create the provider and to advance to the provider's Contact Summary.
CancelClick to terminate the provider creation and to return to the Provider Browse.
