General

'People' and 'Workflow Job' mapping sections describe which fields are set in XTM on the basis of XTRF data when a project in XTM is created by the integration.
'CAT Analysis' mapping section describes mapping during the process of importing data from XTM-generated analysis files to XTRF.

People

This section describes field mapping introduced in XTRF version 2015 Winter (3.5).

Customers

XTRFXTM
NameCustomer

When a project is being created in XTM by XTRF and the customer assigned in XTRF doesn't exist in XTM, a new entity is created by XTRF.

In earlier versions of XTRF, the XTM Name was created on the basis of XTRF ID. For compatibility reasons this was preserved during customer matching. See the "Matching" section below.

Providers

XTRF providers are mapped to XTM users with "Linguist" role.

XTRFXTM
NameUsername
NameFirst name
Legal NameLast name
E-mail AddressEmail

When a project is being created in XTM by XTRF and a provider assigned in XTRF doesn't exist in XTM, a new entity is created by XTRF.
The newly created user is given the "Linguist" role (which automatically gives the user the rights to perform the "Translate" step) and the language combination of the current project.
XTRF cannot update language combinations for users that already exist in XTM.

When a project is being created in XTM by XTRF and a provider assigned in XTRF already exists in XTM, they will be assigned in XTM if:

  • user in XTM has the language combination of the project,
  • user in XTM has the proper role(s) required by the XTM workflow step,
  • workflow job name in XTRF matches (case-insensitive) the workflow step name in XTM.

When the requirements are not met, no user will be assigned in XTM.

Project Managers

XTRF users are mapped to XTM users with "Project Manager" role.

XTRFXTM

First NameFirst name
Last NameLast name

When a project is being created in XTM by XTRF and the project manager assigned in XTRF doesn't exist in XTM, a new entity is created by XTRF.
The newly created user is a given the "Project Manager" role.

Matching

When a project is being created in XTM by XTRF, XTRF tries to match the customer, provider(s) and user (PM) of the project to the corresponding entities in XTM.
For customers it is first checked whether an alias ("also known as" fields) exists in XTRF. If not, matching XTM Customer (name) to XTRF ID is attempted. If no match is found, matching XTM Customer (name) to XTRF Name is attempted. If no match is found, a new entity is created in XTM.
For providers it is first checked whether an alias ("also known as" fields) exists in XTRF. If not, matching XTM Name to XTRF Name is attempted. If no match is found, a new entity is created in XTM. (For details of provider creation see above.)
For project managers, matching XTM Name to XTRF Name (Username) is attempted at first. If no match is found, a new entity is created in XTM.
