Main Data Task The Main Data tab contains the essential details of the task, including the task's unique ID number and name, customer and contact person.
 

 If you have made any modifications in this tab or the other tabs, be sure to click Save before leaving the page. If not, the modifications will be lost.

ID Number

The identification data number assigned to this task.

This field cannot be modified.  

Name

The unique name of the task.

Enter the text into the field.

By default, the name of the task is the same as the quote's name.  

Relation to Language

The task's association with the given language combination.

Click on the drop-down list and select an association.

The relations are:

Language combination-related

The task is directly associated with both languages in the combination (e.g. English-to-German).

Source language-related onlyThe task is only associated with the source language in the combination (e.g. English-to-any language).
Target language-related onlyThe task is only associated with the target language in the combination (e.g. Any language-to-English).
Language-independentThe task is not really to any of the languages in the combination (e.g. DTP). 
Language Combination

The language combination for this task.

Click on the drop-down list and select a language combination.

 You can only select a language combination included in the quote. To have other language combinations available, you first must add them to the quote by clicking either or next to the quote in the Quote Tree. When you click on this, you are taken to a new page. For a description of the page, click here: Add Language Combination - Quote..

 This field is only visible when you have selected "Language-combination related" for Relation to Language.

Source Language

The language of the source material for this task..

Click on the drop-down list and select a source language.

  This field is only visible when you have selected "Source language-related only" for Relation to Language .

Target Language

The language of the target material for this task.

Click on the drop-down list and select a target language.

 This field is only visible when you have selected "Target language-related" for Relation to Language .

Specialisation

A qualification such as knowledge of medicine or law terms required for an activity in this task to be performed.

Click on the drop-down list and select a specialisation.

By default, the specialisation is the same as the one selected for the quote.  

To create a specialisation, go to System > Configuration > System Values > Specialisations.

Workflow

The specific workflow to be used for this task.

Click on the drop-down list and select a workflow.

 By default, the workflow is the same as the one selected for the quote.

To create a workflow, go to System > Configuration > Workflows > Workflow Definitions.  

Estimated Delivery Date

The supposed delivery date of the task files to the customer.

Manually enter the date in the appropriate date format set in System Configuration or click Calendar and select from the calendar.

Working Days

The estimated number of days needed to complete the task.

Enter a value into the field.

Additional Fields

Supplementary information necessary for this task, for example, the date and location of a spoken translation.

To have the additional fields be visible, select the tickbox.

Additional FieldsHere you can enter extra information, such as when the task should be started and completed.
Start Date

The date when the task should begin.

Manually enter the date in the appropriate date format set in System Configuration or click Calendar and select from the calendar.

Deadline

The date when the task should be completed.

Manually enter the date in the appropriate date format set in System Configuration or click Calendar and select from the calendar.

Place of Event

The location of the event related to the task.

Enter the text into the field.

Date of Event

The date of the event related to the task.

Manually enter the date in the appropriate date format set in System Configuration or click Calendar and select from the calendar.

Purpose of Translation

The reason behind the translation.

Enter the text into the field.

Target Audience

The audience for whom the result of the task is intended.

Enter the text into the field.

Style

A distinctive characteristic made in the result of task, such as a formal register.

Enter the text into the field.

 

 

Customer

The customer for whom the task will be performed.

This field cannot be modified. To change the customer, go to Main Data - Quote and select a new customer. The new customer will automatically be entered for all the other language combinations and tasks.

Customer Task Number

The customer's own task number to be appended to the task.

Enter the information into the field.

Contact Person

The individual to whom the task's notifications and ready files will be sent.

To include more contact persons, click More. Additional fields appear.

Additional Contacts

The additional recipients of the task's notifications and ready files.

You can further specify which receivables will be sent to each contact person. To do so, go to the Documents tab and click Edit and Send icon of the desired receivable. Include the desired recipients for the receivables to be sent.

Send Back to

The individual to whom the project's ready files will be sent.

Click the drop-down list and select a contact person.

This field is mandatory.

Additional Contacts

Any other individuals to whom the emails related to the project will be sent.

Click the drop-down list and select a contact person. When selected, the contact person appears above the drop-down list:

Additional Contacts Item

    • To delete a selected contact, click Delete Icon.
    • To add all of the customer's available contact persons, click Add all.
    • To remove all of the selected contacts, click Remove all.

This field is mandatory.

Categories

A classification to be applied to the task which can help a user when locating a task or creating a business report.

Click on the drop-down list and select an item.

SaveClick to create the task.
CancelClick to terminate the task creation.
