Overview
In XTRF Language Business Platform each client has it's own price profile. Client's price profile contains the financial information, for example the price list valid for this client, the currency you settle the payments, discount and so on. All those pieces of information are automatically used as the default payment settings for completed jobs. Your may create many price profiles for your client in different currencies.
I. Add a New Price Profile
The default price profile is created along with the client's profile in the Home Portal's default currency . You may edit this default profile or add a new one. To add a new price profile to the client's profile perform following steps: In the Name field provide the name for the new price profile. You might add the profile currency in the price profile name for easier use of the multiple price profiles. From the Currency drop-down menu select the currency of the price profile. (Optional) From the Price List drop-down menu select the Price list valid for this price profile. To learn more about the price lists for clients, see: Managing the Price List - Clients (Optional) From the Default Contact Person drop-down menu select the contact person who is the point of contact at your client's side for all price related arrangements. (Optional) To add a discount or a surcharge to this client's price profile, click the Edit button. The Discounts/Surcharges pop-up window appears: To add new discounts/surcharges to your Home Portal go to Configuration > System Values: Basic > Discounts & Surcharges. Sign in to the Home Portal of XTRF Platform. Go to the Clients module. Select the client in the Browse Clients display and click the icon. Go to the Rates tab. In the Price Profile section click the Add price profile button. The Price Profile - Add pop-up window appears. The Client field is filled in automatically with the client's legal name. (Optional) In the Minimum Charge field provide the lowest cost allowed by your company for a job to be performed for this client. (Optional) From the Duplicate from drop-down list select the price profile from which the data will be copied. (Optional) Use the Set as Default button to confirm that this new price profile should be currently a default profile for this client. (Optional) In the Description field provide a short description of the new profile to help other users use it properly. Click the Apply button to save this new profile. The Price Profile - Add window closes. You have added a new price profile for this client.
II. Add the Language Combinations to the Client's Price Profile
The next step is to create a language combination for the newly added price profile. You can create it if you would like to use client rates different than stated in one of the price lists. If you do not specify languages combinations for this profile you may use the rates from the price list selected for the given price profile. To do so, perform the following steps: In the Mode section use the radio buttons to decide what type of the language combination you want to add. Select the Create also Reverse Language Comb. checkbox it you want to automatically create the reverse language combinations to the ones that you are creating in this window. The Reversed Language Combination is an option, where when you create the Language A to Language B combination. The Language B to Language A combination is created automatically in the Home Portal. In the Target Languages select the Any Target Language checkbox to create a language combination to all active languages in your Home Portal. If you want to create the language combinations only for a particular language pairs double-click on a language in the Available Items list in order to add it to the Selected Items list. For example, French, German, Russian and Spanish are selected. Order of Applying The rates from the client's price profile overwrite the rates from the price list. In means that the Home Portal first will try to apply the rates from the language combinations in the client's price profile and if the they are not defined, then it will use the rates from the language combinations defined in the price list selected for this price profile. In the Language Combination section click the Create button. The Client Language Combination - Create pop-up window appears. From the Source Language drop-down menu select the source language for this language combination. In the Minimum Charge field provide the lowest cost allowed by your company for those language combinations. Click the Apply button to save new language combinations in this price profile. The Client Language Combination - Create window closes. You have created the language combination.
III. Add the Rates to the Language Combinations
The next step is to add the rates to language combinations in your client's price profile. The Rate is your price for a specific service, for example translation of proofreading and is different for different language combination. For example the rate for translation from English to French may by different than the rate for translation from French to English. To add a rate to a language combination, perform the following steps: Click the Edit button. On the list of available price profiles for this client click the name of the profile you want to modify. (Optional) In the Specializations select the Any specializations checkbox to add the rate for all active specializations in your Home Portal. If you want to add rates only for a particular specialization double-click on a specialization in the Available Items list in order to add it to the Selected Items list. In the Rate field provide the rate value. You may also provide the rates for the Translation Memory. In the client's profile go to the Rates tab. In the Language Combinations section select the combination you want to add the rates to. In the Rates section click the +Add button. The Client Rate - Create pop-up window appears. The Price Profile field is filled in automatically with the name of the profile. In the Language Combination mutli-selection field, add the language combination(s) for which you wan to add the rates. Double-click on a combination in the Available Items list in order to add it to the Selected Items list. For example, English to French and Spanish are selected. From the Job Type drop-down menu select the type of job for which this rate will be applied. From the Calculation Unit drop-down menu select the calculation units that should be available for this rate. You may choose more than one calculation unit. (Optional) In the Minimum Charge field provide the lowest cost allowed by your company for this particular job type and language combinations. (Optional) Select the Overwrite Existing Rates checkbox if there are already some rates for this job type and language combination and you want the new rates to abrogate the old ones. (Optional) In the Notes field provide an internal note for other users in your company. Click the Apply button to add rate to the language combination. The Client Rate - Create window closes.
