Schedule

In the Schedule tab of the Smart Connector settings you can define when the Smart Connector will scan the mapped directory for files and attempt to create a project. You can schedule your Smart Connector start according to one of the following rules:

Daily Schedule

Type drop-down menu

In this drop-down menu you can select how frequent the Smart Connector will attempt to create a project. The Smart Connector can attempt to create the project:

  • Once per Day: You can select at what time the Smart Connector will attempt to create the project. This action is triggered daily.
  • Repeatedly: You can select the period between attempts to create the project the Smart Connector will wait.

The spin buttons allow you to schedule the Smart Connector in 24-hour clock.

Frequent Scanning

Bear in mind that, although you can set up the Smart Connector to scan the mapped directory very frequently, it is not advised. Too frequent scanning and attempting to create a project might cause some unwanted effects.

To see how to define a Cron expression, go to the Quartz documentation, Quartz Scheduler: http://www.quartz-scheduler.org/documentation. The order should be as follows:

  1. seconds,
  2. minutes,
  3. hours,
  4. day of month,
  5. month,
  6. day of week,

For example 0 0 */4 * * ?. The example expression runs the Smart Connector every four hours each day of the month.
